TrailFireMark

Annotations with the TrailFire system are called "marks" in their terminology.

Reason for the definition:

  • Make a Wiki Name on this short word, to talk about it, in this wiki (and beyond).

Notes:

The DiiGo people call their annotations "Sticky Notes". We could address them both in a more unified manner as e.g. DiiGoAnnotation and TrailFireAnnotation or more sloppy:

"Let's DiiGo this."

"Let's TrailMark this."

Discussion:

I believe both sets could be useful. The first for more formal DocumentMode and the other for ThreadMode and more casual conversation? In practice the casual will float to the surface whatever works best in the community of the casual communication, so defining it won't mean much. 'Less is more' usually in this case.

It is clear I need to understand how to make these annotations work. -- AaronPoeze

Aaron, the best way to transfer procedural knowledge within online communities is with (free) interactive Screencast programms. I use [Wink] and I am looking for a host of interactive swf files. Do you know one? YouTube only hosts linear videos. Perhaps we should ask the staff at Aboutus.org to allow uploads of such files. Unfortunately my swf2avi converter didn't work, to get at least linear avis for YouTube(restricting myself only on timecontrolled tutorials without conditionals). -- FridemarPache
