refers to a Wiki:WikiEngine, that incorporates a protocol that lets work of all its instantiations (on different computers) so, that the user nearly doesn't know, that they are on different sites.
This is somehow contrasted to Wiki:InterWiki, a concept for interoperations of different Wiki Engines, based on different software, but adhering to a common protocol for networking.
The Wiki:WikiPrinciples have to be appropriately extended to DistributedWikiPrinciples
