GründerWiki

A German wiki for the founders of online communities and people sharing similar interests. As far as one can tell it will be the first try at a democratic MemberWiki (complete transfer of power from the founder to the members).

The initial setup is:

  • to be a place "for founders and hosts" (not about communities)
  • German ist used as its main language
  • MemberWiki (members will vote and decide as soon as possible, perhaps 1-3 years)
  • currently not copyleft (but there will be documents and pages for member to use in their communities), license will be chosen by its members
  • semi-open (there may be a members-only space)

The planned relationship to meatball:

  • good neighbourhood, we will try to give more back to MeatBall than we draw from it
  • we will not specially aim at translating MeatBall pages, the new wiki shall grow out of its own needs and develop its own language
  • a MeatBall representative is invited as a member (a voting member as soon as a voting system exists). A formal invitation will be given.

My commitment to MeatBall as the primary place to discuss online community issues (to do science) is unchanged. -- HelmutLeitner
