CrossDisciplinaryWork

Work that crosses conventional subject boundaries has good chances for being productive.

For example I've a friend who is an excellent computer programmer and is now training in medicine. His long term plan is to work in medical electronics. He understands 'feedback' and servo systems in a way that his fellow students who are learning muscles and attachments do not. What is taken for granted in one discipline is new and possibly useful in another.
