Collaborative cartography is the process of creating maps collaboratively (see WhatIsaMap). It is, in some ways, a special case of CollaborativeGraphicDesign -- that is, the collaborative creation of meaningful images. A broader sense of cartography might encompass collaborative collection of GlobalPositioningSystem (GPS) data.
